Digital certification now in place for Northern Ireland’s care sector workforce
The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) has announced that Digital Certification is now in place for their 43,000 registrants which include social workers, social work students and social care workers.
The digital certificate is available via the registrants portal account, it can be downloaded and saved and viewed on a mobile or tablet device or emailed to employers to reduce paper waste.
As part of the certificate download the NISCC have introduced a digital ‘I’m a registered….’ badge that registrants can download and share with pride on social media and on their email signatures.
Speaking about the innovation and use of technology to support the workforce and create a better customer experience, Director of Registration and Corporate Services, Declan McAllister said: “We are constantly working hard to improve services for our registrants and that means keeping pace with technology and customers’ expectations.
“The new digital certificate makes the process quicker and more reliable for everyone and is a step closer towards our goal of reducing costs and protecting the environment.”
Registrants can use the portal to register, pay fees, update personal information and renew their registration.
