Resource: Change Network Toolkit challenging mental health discrimination
Today, 1st December marks the launch of the See Me/Iriss Change Network Toolkit.
In 2015, See Me, Iriss and the Scottish Mental Health Co-operative brought together a group of peer researchers and storytellers from across Scotland to understand change in communities in relation to mental health stigma and discrimination. Lessons learned were applied from See Me’s Change Networks – groups designed to bring people together to share and develop new initiatives of how to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination.
Five key topics were explored: co-production; power and partnership; human rights based approaches; change; and building sustainable networks. The toolkit is the culmination of the peer research, reflection and personal experience of this group. It will support people, groups and communities to think about making change happen in their setting.
