Report: Palliative care for people with learning disabilities
An article examined the views of people with learning disabilities, their family and carers, concerning palliative care.
It said that people with learning disabilities were able to have conversations about their preferred end-of-life care, but needed appropriate sources of information and the company of familiar people.
The study had identified training needs for healthcare professionals, and the article said that care providers should work in partnership with the expertise of family carers.
