Application of action research to understand prisoner experiences

Article examines the application of action research in a project that sought to understand prisoner experiences in high security prisons in England. It discussed the challenges and limitations of the approach and the role of power relations, and suggested that facilitating change might require the development of two separate ‘pedagogies’.
