Health Education England launch new careers advice website

Health Education England has launched a new Health Careers website that brings together content from the NHS Careers, Medical Careers and PHORCaST (public health careers) websites.

The new site provides detailed information on more than 350 roles in health, a number of real-life stories and videos, as well as a comprehensive course finder which lists more than 1,000 courses leading to a career in health.

Health Careers also has some great new tools such as a personalised homepage based on your interests. In addition, the site features:

  • A ‘compare roles’ tool enabling users to compare bite-sized information on up to three different roles
  • A ‘related roles’ function so users can explore roles similar to the ones they are interested in, but may not have considered or even heard of before
  • An events calendar for information on career related events across the country such as university open days or careers fairs

Health Education England says the new website has been built following in-depth research and user testing, and created with the user experience firmly in mind. There’s information for everyone – those of any age thinking about a career in health, to those who’ve already started a career in health and are thinking about their next step.

The Health Careers website has been designed to be compatible with all browsers and devices, including mobile phones and tablets.
