Find out about careers in social care at regional skills shows
If you are interested in finding out more about a career in social care, or are a teacher or careers advisor wanting to expand your knowledge, Skills for Care are encouraging you to visit their stand at the The Regional Skills Events taking place across the England.
The Regional Skills Events are a national series of careers focusing on bringing young people together with employers, training providers, further education colleges and universities these free events open visitors’ minds to the range of employment and training opportunities available.
Skills of Care will have I Care Ambassadors, who currently work in the sector, on the stands to help you get a real feel for working in adult social care. They will help you explore the different roles available in the sector, how you get into the sector and the skills, experience and qualifications you may need to find that ideal job in social care.
An interactive quiz will see you imagine real life scenarios from a variety of roles in the sector, and see how you would take on the challenge.
Careers advisors and teachers can come along and see how Skills for Care can facilitate interactive careers events withiin your organisation.
