New survey reveals childcare comes top in career change
It has been revealed that child care courses are the top qualifications women are looking to do when they want to change their career.
The research conducted by Oxbridge Home Learning found that the number one qualification searched for on their site is their childcare courses. The results are based on the top searches using google analytics from 2016 to 2017.
The top five courses people searched for:
- Childcare (9%)
- Teaching assistant (5%)
- Counselling (4%)
- Psychology (3%)
- Dog grooming (2%)
All but one of the top searches for courses are vocational, leading to believe that people who wish to take on extra qualifications already have a preferred career change in mind.
The research also found that it was mainly women (75%) who were doing the searching and the top age ranges were 25 to 34 year olds (34%) and 35 to 44 year olds (29%).
Oxbridge Home Learning said: “These courses are unsurprisingly our most popular ones, but what is interesting is the age ranges. Showing you are never too young or old to think about a career change or to pick up an extra qualification.”
