New app to help Welsh care workers record their induction training

A new interactive version of the induction framework for care workers is now available.

The desk-based app allows workers to record the learning achieve during their first 12 weeks of employment and it sets out the standards expected of social care workers.

The social care induction framework app has been developed for managers, workers new to the social care profession or experienced staff starting in a new role. The accredited units cover the specific knowledge, such as policies and procedures or how to use communication techniques in a particular workplace.

The desk app has been developed to complement the standard version of the Social Care Induction Framework, reviewed in 2012, and can be used to record progress in completing the induction framework online from any computer with internet access.
