Welsh Forum host Dementia awareness training seminars
Care Forum Wales’s group lead on dementia, Stephen Ford, is offering members the chance to attend one of two free dementia awareness training seminars in May.
The seminars will include a mixture of information, myth-busting and role-play activities as well as updates on the latest information and research available.
The training is aimed at all care workers, nurses and managers working in any setting where they are likely to encounter people with dementia. A maximum of two delegates per home or agency can be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dementia Awareness Training – topics will include:
- Types and prevelance of dementia
- Progression of the dementia process
- What helps (and what doesn’t) make a difference to the lives of people with dementia and their families
