New workforce tools launched for Social Care Week in Wales
The fourth day of Social Care Week aims to highlight good practice and continuous learning across the sector in Wales.
Today will also see the launch of both an e-learning module for managers as well as a Safeguarding app to support people working and volunteering in social care and early years & childcare.
Building on the All Wales Basic Safeguarding Awareness Training, the app is a useful tool both for experienced workers who need refresher learning, and for entry level learners to test and progress learning.
It is also a timely opportunity to raise awareness of the Codes of Practice for Social Care Workers and the soon to be launched public consultation on a refreshed version of the code.
In sector news, an article on the ‘Simple, but not simplistic – developing evidence enriched practice’ project will be published by guest author, Nick Andrews. Nick is the Research & Practice Development Officer at the All Wales Academic Social Care Research Collaboration (ASCC).
