Care home manager faces 13 charges of fraud
A 49-YEAR-OLD manageress of a Gwynedd Residential Care Home has been committed to the crown court on 13 fraud charges of abusing her position of trust and gaining money for herself from the accounts of an elderly resident in her care.
Gillian Allday of Craigmor, Mynach Road, Barmouth, faces eight charges of fraud between 17 July 2008 and 20 October 2008, where she is accused of intending to gain for herself when in a position of trust (to safeguard the financial interest of Betty Lyn ap Gwilym, a resident at Hafod Mawddach) and dishonestly presented cheques for a greater amount than was authorised.
