Pembrokeshire : Nursing Home Death Investigated
An investigation has been launched into the sudden death of an 86-year-old man at a nursing home in Pembrokeshire.
William Lewis was found in his room by staff at Woodfield nursing home in Narberth with a head injury and died in hospital the following day.
Dyfed-Powys Police and the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales are jointly investigating.
A police spokeswoman said Mr Lewis’s family had been “fully updated of all aspects of the investigation to date.”
He had lived in the Boncath area of the county until about two years ago when he became a resident at the home, she added.
He died at Withybush Hospital on 5 October. The coroner for Pembrokeshire has been informed.
