Wales’ Top Medical Officer Takes Health Message To People
Wales’ chief medical officer will tour the country this week to discuss public health matters. Dr Tony Jewell will take part in a series of public meetings as part of the Welsh Assembly Government’s response to Health Challenge Wales – the national focus for action to build a healthier nation.
The meetings are a chance for the public to raise public health matters, such as smoking, infections, food and fitness, alcohol and substance misuse, mental health and well-being.
Dr Jewell will be at the Townhill Community Centre, in Swansea today, and at Rhayader Leisure Centre, in Powys on Thursday. The meetings start at 6pm.
