Council Worker Guilty of Sexual Assault
A Gwent council worker was told he faces the possibility of a prison sentence after being convicted of carrying out sex attacks on two women employees.
Ernest Dixon, 55, a sheltered housing officer with Torfaen council, was today found guilty of a charge of sexual assault on one of the women. Yesterday he had been convicted of a second charge of sexual assault and one of false imprisonment on the other woman.
Dixon, known as Roger, of Coed Cae, Pontypool, a married man, had denied the charges and claimed the two women consented to what happened.
Sentence was adjourned for reports until next month and Dixon, who was remanded on bail, was told by Judge William Gaskell: “Be prepared for custody.”
