Award for Council Chair

Mutale Nyoni, Chair of the Care Council for Wales, has won an award in recognition of her work at BAWSO – Black and Asian Women Step Out.
The Leading Wales Awards 2006 aim to recognise and celebrate personal achievement in outstanding leadership and management in Wales.  All those nominated are people who through their leadership have influenced others to effect change in their organisation.
As the successful finalist in the ‘Leadership in a Voluntary Organisation with income greater than £250,000’, Ms Nyoni attended an awards ceremony in Cardiff.
Speaking of her work as Chief Executive Officer of BAWSO Ltd, Ms Nyoni said:
“It is essential that all staff members feel a sense of belonging, ownership and feel valued.”
