Jury members sought for project exploring people’s experiences of care in Wales

The Measuring the Mountain team is currently collecting stories about people’s experiences of care in Wales and the Citizens’ Jury event will see 12 to 15 members of the public examine an issue, relating to social care, that has arisen from the stories being collected.

The range and complexity of the experiences being shared with the project is huge, and the jury will be help the project begin to understand more about what it is learning.

During the event, the jurors will be able to question a series of witnesses, including heads of social services, innovators within the social care sector, carers and people who receive care and support.

At the end of the three days, the jurors will consider everything they’ve heard and outline their findings, conclusions and recommendations.

These will be presented to the Welsh Government later in the year and form part of the project’s reporting, which will be shared across Wales.

Measuring the Mountain wants its jury to represent the diversity of Wales and is looking for people to get involved.
