Final call for nominees to the Scottish Sensory Awards 2017

The Scottish Sensory Awards, from the Scottish Council on Deafness (SCoD) and the Scottish Council on Vision Impairment (SCOVI), showcase good practice, promote the rights of people living with sensory impairments in Scotland and recognise the range of work with deaf, deafblind and visually impaired people undertaken across the statutory, third and independent sector services.

This year the categories have been refined to six, including one category in particular relation to children and young people.

All nominations will be considered and a shortlist drawn up for each of the six categories. All short listed nominations will be invited to the awards ceremony where the winners in each category will be announced.

Mauren Watt MSP, Minister for Mental Health and with porfolio responsibility for sensory impairment at Scottish Government will present the awards.

The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 15th February at the Stirling Court Hotel.

Nominations must be returned by midday on Monday 16th January. Suggested nominees will be contacted within a week if they have been shortlisted.
