Inspection finds Ayrshire home care service maintains ‘excellent’ service
A care at home service in South Ayrshire has been praised by the Care Inspectorate for delivering good outcomes to service users.
Crossroads (South Ayrshire) Care Attendant Scheme provides care at home to people living in South Ayrshire. The scheme provides a support service for up to 115 people in their own homes. Staff work flexible hours to allow carers to have help and short breaks at times which suit them.
Inspectors from the Care Inspectorate graded the service as ‘excellent’ across all themes assessed for the second inspection in a row.
In the latest inspection report, inspectors noted: “Crossroads is staffed by a committed team of both paid and voluntary care attendants, coordinators, administrative support and manager.
“The work of the service is overseen by a voluntary management committee.
“The team strive to provide a high quality service which is flexible and responsive to people’s changing needs.
“This is reflected in the continued excellent grades awarded at this inspection. People consistently told us how the support provided resulted in positive outcomes and how highly satisfied they were with the service that they received.”
