Scottish Care conference to focus on care home provision of the future

This years’ Scottish Care conference will focus on care home provision and the challenges the sector faces in the years to come.

The ‘National Care Home Conference, Exhibition & Care Awards’ will take place on Friday 20th November 2015 in the Hilton Hotel Glasgow and the conference theme is: ‘Re-imagining Care Homes: Vision and Reality’.

Specifically, the conference will explore the following key elements:

  • What will care home provision look like in the future;
  • What role will care homes play in the overall approach to health and social care provision for older people and adults with particular needs;
  • How will care home provision be funded and commissioned;
  • What will be the shape of the future regulatory environment;
  • How will we recruit, retain, develop, support and reward the required workforce;
  • What will be the relationship between providers and those who use services going forwards?

Organisers say this is genuinely an event that all providers and partners, regardless of which part of the sector they operate in, need to be at.
