Glasgow’s head of mental health & adult care suspended
Glasgow City Council has launched an internal investigation into the conduct of a senior member of its social work department.
Raymond Bell, Head of Mental Health and Adult Support & Protection, has been suspended while complaints against him are looked into.
The council declined to reveal why Mr Bell had been suspended for or who made the complaints against him, with a spokesman only saying: “It was council policy never to comment on internal personnel matters.”
The Evening Times newspaper are reporting that Susan Aitken, social care spokeswoman for the SNP opposition on the council, confirmed that complaints had been made.
