IRISS homelessness project seeks contributions

The Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS) has issued a call for partners to contribute to a project focusing on homelessness in Scotland.

The ‘Homelessness: pathways and prevention’ project, aims to uncover and share new knowledge, learning and evidence about:

  • Pathways to homelessness and current interventions which seek to address these
  • Approaches to, and developments of, innovations to prevent homelessness
  • Joint working across teams, services and organisations

The project involves creating IRISS.FM episodes (audio recorded panel discussions on key themes around homelessness); a collection of case studies which explore approaches to innovation and prevention in this area; and an IRISS Insight summarising key evidence.

As part of the project, IRISS want to develop a bank of supporting resources on homelessness. These could be case studies, films, audio, images, or stories that can help bring to life the experiences of those working in this area and those who have experienced homelessness.

You may already have these resources or this may provide you with an opportunity to capture some learning you want share more widely.

IRISS have created a short guide to the kind of information a case study might include.
