West Lothian nursery continues to under-perform
A West Lothian nursery has been told it must make improvements after an unannounced inspection by Scotland’s social care regulator, the Care Inspectorate.
The Squirrel Collection Nursery in Broxburn was graded ‘2 – weak’ for quality of care following an inspection carried out in February.
It is the second consecutive inspection where the service has received this grade for quality of care.
A spokesman for the Care Inspectorate said: “Our most recent inspection found some requirements for improvement made at an earlier inspection had not been met and we continue to have concerns about the quality of care provided.
“This includes concern over staff training and infection control measures.
“We have informed the service of the areas which it must take action on and we will continue to work with them to ensure they improve.
“We will be inspecting again soon and if we do not see evidence of improvement we will not hesitate to take further action.”
