Work to start on three new health centres in Lanarkshire
Work is set to begin in the new year on three new community health centres in the NHS Lanarkshire area.
The centres, which will have a combined cost of £51m, will serve more than 89,000 people in the towns of Wishaw, East Kilbride and Kilsyth.
The builds are expected to last 19 months and finish in summer 2015.
Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the centres would create new jobs and apprenticeships and provide modern health facilities across Lanarkshire.
