Review sought of order to close Clachnaharry House
A Care Inspectorate order to close Clachnaharry House care home in Inverness could be reviewed.
Earlier this month, the watchdog ordered operators RDS Healthcare to shut the home because of concerns about the quality of care provided.
The company was given 14 days to ask the inspectorate to review its decision.
A spokesman for the watchdog confirmed a request for a review had been received and would be considered.
NHS Highland suspended its admissions to the home in November 2012.
The Care Inspectorate then served the care home with an improvement notice after raising concerns about the state of flooring and bathrooms.
It also highlighted issues over staffing levels and record keeping.
RDS Healthcare has plans to close the home temporarily at the end of December to carry out refurbishment work.
However, the Care Inspectorate wants more immediate action taken.
