Scotland’s Dementia Awards 2013 winners announced

The winners of Scotland’s Dementia Awards 2013 have been announced at an awards ceremony at Hampden Stadium.
Over 90 nominations were received for this year’s awards which, after much deliberation from the judges, have been shortlisted to just three outstanding examples per category.

Agnes Houston (from Coatbridge), member of the Scottish Dementia Working Group and long-term campaigner on dementia rights and issues, received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Scotland’s Dementia Awards celebrate the work of both professionals and community groups who are committed to helping people with dementia and their families. The awards showcase the creativity, innovation and dedication that make a real difference to the daily lives of people with dementia and their families across Scotland when organisations, groups and teams work together.
