Kinloch care centre welcomes residents
The convener of Angus Council’s social work and health committee Councillor Glennis Middleton has welcomed the smooth move of residents from Camus house to Kinloch Care Centre.
The first residents were welcomed to their new homes last Tuesday.
Councillor Middleton commented: “I am pleased that Kinloch care centre is now open. The move for residents from Camus House has gone smoothly and residents have brought their own furniture which will help them familiarise themselves with the new surroundings.
“My grateful thanks to all staff for ensuring this was such a successful move for residents. I understand that Bailey the cat is also settling in well.”
The £9.6 million development on the site of the former Kinloch Primary School comprises a care centre with a residential care unit, respite care unit, day centre and office accommodation. The new care centre replaces the nearby Camus House and has the additional benefit of having 28 supported housing units on the same site.
