Nursery worker appears on indecent child image charges

A 20-year-old Dundee nursery worker has appeared in court on charges relating to images of child abuse.

Danny William Kilburn appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court on a petition alleging four charges of possessing indecent images of children.

He made no plea or declaration and his case was continued for further examination.

Kilburn, whose address was not given in court, was granted bail by Sheriff Lindsay Foulis.

He had been arrested and charged with possessing indecent images of children by Tayside Police and suspended from his post at Oranges and Lemons in the Technology Park, Dundee.

Parents learned of the situation after receiving letters from the nursery telling them a worker had been suspended pending a police investigation.

Kilburn carried out work experience at Little People Nursery, Daisies Kindergarten and Buttons and Bows before taking up a position with Oranges and Lemons.
