Mindreel – redesigned and relaunched

Mindreel, the database of films about mental health, has been completely overhauled and redesigned to firmly establish its place as an important and invaluable educational resource.

It now hosts just over 100 films, and there are a few more in the pipeline. The new features include:

    Improved searching
Browsing by topic and type of film.

Mindreel is freely available to all but registered users may comment on films and ‘favourite’ films to make them easier to find later. Additionally, if you are a professional working in education or mental health you can register for an ‘academic’ account, which allows you to download certain films for use offline, making it easier to utilise them in teaching and instructional environments.

Please note that if you are already a registered user, your username will still valid but the first time you visit the new site, you will need to reset your password. You can do this now by going straight to the Mindreel website or:

On the login page, click the ‘request new password’ tab
Enter either your username or the email address you set up the account with
A link to reset your password will be sent to to your email address

About Mindreel

Mindreel is an initiative to create a valuable learning resource using films that address a wide range of mental health issues.

The films featured on Mindreel were selected in conjunction with the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival. Most are films that were submitted to the Festival, and many are award winners.

The Mindreel project is led by IRISS in partnership with the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival and University of Strathclyde.
