Glowing report for River Clyde Homes
RIVER Clyde Homes has received a glowing report for its sheltered housing accommodation across the district.
An official from Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland arrived unannounced to spend four days assessing seven centres and found the quality of care and support to be ‘very good’, while praising staffing, management and leadership.
The inspector spoke to several residents and found they all held the housing support service and staff in very high regard, with her report commending wardens for their ‘excellent communication’ with residents.
The premises inspected were John Galt House, Seafield House and Stewart House in Greenock, Glebe Court in Kilmacolm, Gourock’s Riverside Gardens and Broadstone Gardens and Monkton Place in Port Glasgow.
John Stanforth, head of housing services at River Clyde Homes, said: “The inspector was very complimentary about the service and was impressed with the staff.
“The inspector also stated that feedback from residents showed a high level of satisfaction.
“My congratulations and thanks go to all the staff involved in the inspection and to the wardens and staff of the complexes.”
The inspectors made recommendations for improvement in the quality of daily recordings made by staff and updating of support plans, with training under way to help wardens improve these areas.
