Midlothian care homes given glowing reports after inspections
TWO care homes have received positive reports from the Care Commission. Highbank Care Home and Highbank Day Care for Older People, both run by Midlothian Council, have respectively received “good” and “very good” ratings.
Reports on the inspections, which were conducted in December, will be presented at the Midlothian Council cabinet tomorrow.
Councillor Jackie Aitchison, elected member with responsibility for adult and community care, welcomed the reports, saying: “We aim to deliver the best possible service and this recognition from the Care Commission indicates that our service users benefit from good care, support and staff. I would like to congratulate the staff at Highbank.”
The Care Commission inspection granted the “very good” rating to Highbank Day Care, noting that the service provides support in a friendly and flexible way.
