Aberdeen social work boss accused of attacking woman

AN ABERDEEN social work boss is facing trial accused of assaulting a woman twice in two separate incidents, the Evening Express can reveal.

Ronald Sherriffs, 50, denied two counts of assault to injury on a 31-year-old woman.

The incidents were alleged to have happened at a house in Aberdeen.

Today social work chiefs confirmed they have also launched an investigation into the allegations.

Sherriffs, a senior social worker for Aberdeen City Council, leads a team of social workers and is based at Royal Cornhill Hospital.

The case is due before Aberdeen Sheriff Court again in January.
