IRISS to host research workshop on Re-ablement in Edinburgh
The Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS) is hosting its sixth, and final workshop in the series What Works: Putting Research into Practice on the 30th April in Edinburgh.
This workshop will focus on Re-ablement which is about giving people over the age of 18 years the opportunity to relearn the skills they may have lost as a consequence of poor health, or going into hospital or residential care, and the confidence to develop new skills that will help them to maintain their independence.
Dr. Parvaneh Rabiee will lead this workshop. Parvaneh is a Research Fellow who has worked on a range of Re-ablement projects at the Social Policy Research Unit at York University.
There are some spaces left on this free, half-day workshop. If you would like a place, please email [email protected], with your name, job title and organisation.
The event will take place at the Surgeon’s Hall, Nicolson Street, Edinburgh EH8 9DW. Registration will open at 9am and the event will begin at 9.30am.
