Inverclyde Child Protection Staff Congratulated
COUNCIL bosses and their partners have been congratulating all involved after an official report revealed child protection services in Inverclyde are among the best in Scotland.
Government inspectors rated Leadership and Direction as well as Vision Value and Aims of the service as “excellent” with 15 of the 18 performance indicators rated as “very good”.
Child protection services are offered by Inverclyde Council working in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Strathclyde Police, the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration and the voluntary sector under the Inverclyde Child Protection Committee.
Councillor Joe McIlwee, convener of the Council’s Health and Social Care Committee said: “This has been a massive team effort from everyone involved in child protection and is an example of partnership working at its very best. The report shows we are all pulling in the same direction and constantly looking to improve our performance in safeguarding and enhancing the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our community.”
