Inverness Care Home Meeting To Be Held

A PUBLIC meeting will be held next week at which more details of the new care home in Inverness will be revealed. Outline planning consent has been granted for the proposed care home at Burnside to replace Ach an Eas and Burnside.

Highland Council staff will be available to discuss the proposals, firstly at meetings in the existing homes with residents, their families and staff, and later at drop-in sessions in the village. Representatives of the social work and housing and property services will be on hand to explain the proposals to people on an individual or small group basis.

Councillor Margaret Davidson, chairman of the housing and social work committee said: “These new care homes will greatly improve the facilities for everyone and ensure that all modern standards are met. We want to meet with residents, their families and staff as well as the wider community to share the progress we are making and to hear people’s views.”

The public meeting at Inverness is on Thursday 13th November, in the Town House, 3pm-7.30pm.
