Talks On Mental Health Staff Pay
Unions representing mental health staff will hold talks with Highland Council officials in a dispute over pay and working conditions. Almost 40 staff plan to take action from Tuesday if agreement cannot be reached in what has been described as a long-standing dispute.
They are angry that recent increases in their workloads have not been matched by a corresponding rise in pay. Unison said the action would involve members working to rule. It will also see staff ceasing all overtime.
Munro Ross, Unison’s Highland Convenor, said the ball was now in the council’s court if they want to resolve the situation.
