£12m Haul Of Heroin In Glasgow
Police have seized more than £12m of heroin in one of the biggest drug raids in Scottish history.
Officers from the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency took 157 kilos of the drug off the streets in a single raid in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Detectives yesterday said the seizure was twice as big as the total quantity of class A drugs uncovered by the SCDEA in the whole of last year.

A 44-year-old man from the Glasgow area was arrested during the raid and was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court. The heroin was seized at a fruitmarket in Blochairn, Glasgow.
The agency secured several notable successes last year, including the conviction of James Stevenson, believed to be the most important figure in Scottish organised crime, jailed for nearly 13 years for money laundering in April.
