Tell Shelter Scotland What Home Is And Win Lunch With Colin And Justin

Help fulfil Shelter Scotland’s Christmas wish to have its 5000th quote by the end of the year – and be in with a chance of winning a free consultation with celebrity designers Colin and Justin. The housing and homelessness charity are searching for the 5000th home is* quote over the festive season, as the campaign nears its climax.

Shelter Scotland kicked off the home is* campaign in May this year, with backing from Colin and Justin, and celebrities from the world of football, literature and TV, including Edith Bowman, Sharleen Spiteri, Sir Alex Ferguson, Gail Porter, and Christopher Brookmyre.

The target was to collect 5,000 home is*  quotes in a bid to keep the pressure on Scottish politicians to stick to their promise that everyone should have a home by 2012.

Since then, 4,700 Scots have told the charity what home means to them. And the charity is urging just a few hundred more to log on to www.shelter.org.uk/homeis and tell them how important home is – especially at this time of year.

And the 5000th person to tell the charity what home means to them will qualify for them and a friend to have lunch with top celebrity designers Colin and Justin in Glasgow.

The winner can discuss their interior design concerns with the two top style gurus while they are treated to lunch and wine, selected by the sommelier at Hotel du Vin’s popular oak paneled Bistro at One Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow.

The stars said: “We were delighted to help launch this important campaign as we believe that everyone should have a safe, secure and decent home to live in. We urge everyone to log onto www.shelter.org.uk/homeis and help Shelter Scotland fulfil their Christmas wish to have the 5000th quote by the end of the year.”

Archie Stoddart, director of Shelter Scotland, said: “With thousands of households expected to spend this Christmas without a home, it is a time when being without a home becomes even more acute for people who are homeless.

“We want people to spend just five minutes of their Christmas break helping us make sure everyone in Scotland has a home. Log onto our website at www.shelter.org.uk/homeis and tell us what home means to you this Christmas. Help us fulfil our Christmas wish of having our 5000th quote by the end of the year.”
