Education And Care Provider Picks Up Two Awards In A Week!

An education and care centre has clinched its second top award within a week. Graham Bell, chief executive of the Kibble in Paisley, lifted the Ernst & Young Scottish Social Entrepreneur of the Year title just days after Scottish Business in the Community named the Kibble Scotland’s Social Enterprise of the Year.

The education and care centre employs more than 300 staff to provide residential care and education for young people who have emotional, educational and behavioural problems.

Its enterprise wing, KibbleWorks offers job training and work experience.

Mr Bell paid tribute to the staff and said: “Being a social entrepreneur is not about an individual’s achievement – it’s what a team of people working together can achieve.”
