Module update on PQ Social Work – Research Methods Programme, Northern Ireland
The Post Qualifying Social Work Research Methods Programme provides two postgraduate, post qualifying modules approved by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) as part of the Professional in Practice Framework.
These modules include:
- The Evidence-Informed Professional and Organisation
- Research and Evaluation Methods in Social Work
The Research and Evaluation Methods in Social Work module enables candidates to gain any six of the nine Requirements of the Specialist Award or three Requirements (selected from 1,2,3,4,5,9) of the Leadership and Strategic Award of NISCC, as well as gaining 60 academic credits as the dissertation requirement of the MSc Professional Development in Social Work of Ulster University.
Candidates completing both modules will be able to achieve the Specialist Award or six Requirements of the Leadership and Strategic Award of NISCC. Both modules are full (standard) cost University-led modules, delivered in close partnership with all key employers of Social Workers in Northern Ireland.
The closing date for the nomination form, which needs to be sent to Ulster University, is Friday 17 June. Internal organisational approvals for attendance need to be secured from your line manager or professional supervisor and endorsed by your employer.
