Belfast Trust launch DVD to support Romanian Roma families

A new muli-agency DVD has been launched by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust to support Romanian Roma families on how to access health services in Northern Ireland.

The DVD was supported by the District Policing and Community Safety Partnership and highlights the Rights of Romanian Roma when accessing services in Belfast and the differences between the Health Services in Romania and Northern Ireland.

Launching the DVD, Brian Barry Director of Specialist Hospitals and Women’s Health, said: “Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is committed to ensuring that the Romanian Roma Community can access the right health services at the right time.

“We are delighted to launch this DVD in both the Romanian and English languages and hope that it will assist our Roma community in understanding their rights and responsibilities when accessing health services.”
