Over 12,000 using Northern Ireland social care apps

More than 12,000 individuals are making use of four free mobile apps launched by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) earlier this year.

The free mobile apps were created to help individuals learn skills in Child Development, Domiciliary Care and Health & Safety in a Childminding Setting and were developed in partnership with a range of Northern Ireland employers, educational institutions and Skills for Care and Development

The apps are ideal for supporting workforce learning and development and were created as part of NISCC’s work to develop innovative ways of delivering information and engaging with its audiences through new technology.

All the apps are free of charge and are available for iPhone and Android mobile devices. Once they have been downloaded, the apps can be referred to when they are needed, making it easy to access while in the office or working out and about.

Details of the four apps and links to download them are available here.http://www.niscc.info/index.php/employers/sector-skills/mobile-learning-knowledge-solutions
