Seminar series announced for Northern Irish care workers

Throughout 2014/2015 the Northern Irish Social Care Council (NISCC) will be hosting a series of free lunchtime seminars highlighting new initiatives, new research and outcomes from reviews that are relevant to social work and social care.

The first seminar ‘Understanding and Tackling Chronic Neglect in Children’ will be presented by Lynne Peyton on 19 June 2014 in the NISCC office.

Based on a review of more than 100 families, this session will provide an opportunity for practitioners, managers and service planners to consider how to consistently improve outcomes for neglected children.

Formerly an Asst Director in SHSSB and Director of NSPCC Northern Ireland Lynne Peyton has been an Independent Child Care consultant since 2001, helping statutory and voluntary organisations all over Ireland to get better outcomes for children.
