342 Mental Health Tribunals Held This Year To Date

There were 165 mental health tribunals held in February 2008, according to the latest figures published by the Mental Health Tribunal.

This brings the total number of tribunals held this year to 342. It represents a decrease of 36 from the corresponding figure this time last year. Of the February figures, 20 were revoked at hearing.

A total of 163 involuntary admissions took place during the month, 114 of which were admitted from the community, while 49 had their status changed from voluntary to involuntary.
