Increase In Carers Allowance Threshold Comes Into Force

A slight increase in the income thresholds for recipients of the Carers Allowance and Carers Benefit is coming into effect from today.

A single person can now earn up to €332-a-week before becoming ineligible for the payments, while a couple can earn up to €665-a-week.

The thresholds are going up from €320 and €640-a-week respectively.
