Just 1 in 5 People Suffering With Mental Ill Health Are Working
It’s emerged just one in five people suffering from mental ill health are working. A draft report on Mental Health and Social Inclusion, published by the National Economic and Social Forum shows that without work, they are at a greater risk of exclusion.
One fifth of employers have mental health policies in place even though more than 90% of employers believe staff with mental ill health have valuable skills and experience they don’t want to lose.
More than one in six employees said they had experienced mental ill health in the past two years.
