PSNI Warning Of Bogus Social Worker

Parents throughout Newry and Mourne have been warned to be vigilant after a bogus health visitor tried to get into a house in Camlough.

It is understood the incident occurred in the Carrowbane Road area during the last few days, with the woman leaving the scene immediately after being refused entry and asked for identification. It is believed a child is living in the house.

A PSNI spokeswoman said that parents, the elderly and any vulnerable members of the community should be cautious in the light of the incident. She added that householders should always ask for identification and be careful about who they allow into their homes.
