Code of Conduct consultation for care workers launched
Skills for Health has launched a consultation to gather further views on the Code of Conduct for healthcare support workers and adult social care workers in England.
Published in March 2013, the Code of Conduct was developed by Skills for Health and Skills for Care. The organisations were originally asked to develop a Code of Conduct that could be used both by adult social care workers and those healthcare support workers who report to registered nurses and midwives.
Skills for Health have received consistent anecdotal feedback that the Code of Conduct actually applies much more broadly in the health sector and could apply to all roles that are patient facing and are not already covered by other Codes of Conduct.
An online consultation to test this is open until 31st October 2014 and can be accessed here.
The questionnaire should only take about 10 minutes to complete.
