Children of domestic abuse victims more likely to be in care

New research from Family Rights Group reveals victims of domestic violence are being failed by social services.

An increasing amount of care orders are being placed on children living in homes that experience domestic violence, whilst services to help women escape violent partners are being cut.

It was also suggested the increasing amount of care protection orders being placed on children from homes with domestic violence could prevent women from reporting abuse.

Women also have fewer places to go for support and the long-term care necessary to leave violent partners, the Family Rights Groups said.
