New domestic violence resource launched
Women’s Aid is today launching the UK Gold Book online, a vital resource to support anyone working with women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
The UK Gold Book online is the only national directory of domestic violence support services. It is updated every day, and is available to anyone working in healthcare, education, or other fields supporting women and children at risk of abuse. Professionals with a subscription will have access to the most up-to-date details of services when they need them.
The UK Gold Book online is unique providing information on the full range of domestic and sexual violence service available in the UK including refuge services, children and young people’s services, outreach and IDVA services.
It includes sophisticated search tools enabling users to find the most appropriate domestic and sexual violence service available based on criteria including:
- geographical area
- sexuality and gender
- accessibility
- languages
- specialist services for black and minority ethnic women
- specialist services for men
