Olney residential home carers deny neglect

Two carers at a residential home in Buckinghamshire have denied neglect. Henrietta Offae, 41, and Titlayo Ajala, 56, were each charged with 19 counts of wilfully neglecting a person without capacity.

The charges relate to alleged incidents at Westlands residential home in High Street, Olney, between 18 and 19 August 2011, where the women worked.

The pair have been bailed and are due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court for trial on 17 June.

Ms Offae pleaded guilty to possessing an identity card for use as a passport to gain employment.

The charges followed a joint investigation involving Thames Valley Police, social services and senior managers at the home.
